The Department of Agricultural and Forest Engineering of the University of Florence carries out research activities in the field of Agricultural Mechanics and Mechanization, Agricultural Industry Machinery and Factories, Hydronomy, Agricultural Hydraulics, Land Reclamation, Hydraulic and Forest Structures, Soil Protection, Topography and Cartography, Rural and Forest Premises, Territorial Infrastructures, Agricultural and Forest Analysis and Planning.
Together with the structures devoted to the didactics in the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Florence, the Department participates in the above-mentioned activity by providing its resources for the implementation of the degree courses of the Faculty and organizes PHD courses of “Agricultural and Forest Engineering”.
The Department maintains a relationship of scientific collaboration with numerous Italian and international research institutions and provides technical support to various institutions of the private and public sectors.
